The obi we have created this time is a fukuro-obi that can be worn more formally than for everyday use. It has a beautiful and gorgeous pattern that represents the heavens and the earth. When you look at it from different angles, the color tone and three-dimensionality of the pattern appear different each time. This is because a special thread called Nenkin thread is used. Nenkin thread is thread wrapped with gold or silver foil. A single thread has some parts that are foil and some that are not, which gives it the wonderful characteristic of creating a unique shine and an indescribable nuance. This is a masterpiece of Nishijin weaving, created with the cooperation of the only company in Japan with the technology to produce Nenkin thread. Price: 160,000 yen (tax included)
