This Nagoya obi, "Onnazakari," was made from scratch to suit the "heart of summer." It is an original arrangement of the traditional Hakata-ori pattern of a single-pronged sash and a flower plate, with stripes between them, and features a peacock on the single-pronged sash and clematis on the flower plate, clearly a design for enthusiasts. A generous 6,000 warp threads are used to create the background color, enhancing the luster and texture of the green, and making it functionally sturdy, easy to tie, and less likely to come undone. Shiina's vivid color scheme and the combination of multiple weaving techniques have resulted in a rare obi. Feel free to wear it all year round, regardless of the season, except for formal occasions. You can enjoy a wide range of kimonos, yukatas, sleeves, komon, plain colors, and cotton that can be tied with Nagoya obi.
